Sightseeing near Sagar Darshan - Kihim
Kihim is one of the most popular beaches amongst the Alibaug beaches with a rocky stretch of beach towards its northern side and an endless fine sandy beach towards its southern end. Kihim is one of the few beaches in Alibaug where you can enjoy parasailing and water sports. With speed boats, water sooters and dolphin watching boat rides its for sure that you wouldn't have one dull moment in Kihim.
Situated atop 900 feet high hill this 54 feet high Shiva temple complex comprises of small temples of Paleshwar, Hanuman, Balram Krishna and Lord Shiva. Enroute the small trek upto the temple is the "Brahma Kund".
Situated on the border of Kihim village, surrounded by suru trees from all the three sides with a small old Shiva temple is a very peaceful place. Boating facility is also available in the lake which is very popular amongst kids.
All the major water rides are available at Kihim along with boating and parasailing on the beach. Water sports and parasailing is organized on weekends and holidays especially during the evenings
Kulaba a sea fort, maintained by A.S.I less than a kilometer from the shores of Alibaug can be only accessed during low tide through a narrow strip of land. During high tides this strip goes under water. Fort is open all through the year.
